In Sana’a An expanded Meeting on the Role of Yemeni Women in Addressing the Agenda of the Aggression “priorities and responsibilities”, organized by the Ministry of Human Rights in cooperation with Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights
Member of the Supreme Political Council Sultan Al-Sami’i praised the important and effective role of Yemeni women in confronting the aggression over the eight years of aggression and siege.
At the opening of the expanded national meeting on the role of Yemeni women in addressing the agenda of the aggression “priorities and responsibilities”, which was organized by the Ministry of Human Rights in cooperation with the Ensaf Organization for Women and Child Rights today, Al-Sami’i pointed to the prominent role of women, their contributions and participation in achieving various successes and achievements.
He pointed out that the general orientation of the state, represented by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, is to encourage the broad participation of women in various aspects of life.
He also stressed that women will remain an important partner for their male brother in the process of construction and development, especially as they have proven their worth and competence in various fields.
In the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Expatriate Affairs Zayed Al-Riyami, and Sumaya Al-Taifi the head of Enteasaf Organization referred to the suffering and targeting that Yemeni women face due to the aggression, as they were the first victims and those affected, whether by being bombed by the countries of the coalition of aggression or by the tragic situation imposed by the aggression on civilians.
She emphasized that Yemeni women, despite the difficulties and suffering, recorded honorable positions in supporting health, psychological, social, educational, economic and political stability, and faced that with every challenge.
In the meeting, Al-Taifi presented four working papers and Legal Counsel Hamid Al Rafeeq dealt in the first paper with the agenda and tools of systematic aggression that target women and their role in addressing those tools.
At the end of the meeting, a number of women were honored for their steadfastness and resistance to aggression.
