Human Rights Calls For Trial To Aggression Coalition Leaders ,Perpetrators Of Torture Crimes Against Prisoners & Detainees

The Ministry of Human Rights called for the prosecution to the aggression coalition leaders and its tools, the perpetrators of torture crimes against prisoners and detainees, and to prevent their impunity.

The ministry said in a statement, in conjunction with the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, that this day, which is celebrated by the United Nations institutions, comes at a time when the US-Saudi-Emirati-British aggression coalition and their tools are still practicing the most heinous types of torture and all inhuman practices prohibited under international law against the Yemeni people, against prisoners and detainees in their prisons.

The Ministry stated that thousands of prisoners, detainees, and expatriates are still in the prisons of the aggression coalition countries and their tools in Marib, Aden, and the rest of the occupied regions, and they are subjected to the most severe types of psychological and physical torture, deprivation of the most basic human rights, prevention of access to treatment and visits, solitary confinement, and other crimes pursued by the aggression coalition.

It affirmed that what the aggression coalition and its tools are doing against prisoners is a flagrant violation of all international covenants, norms, laws and human rights.

The Ministry of Human Rights condemned the continued international and international silence regarding the disregard of the aggression leaders and their tools for all relevant laws and charters.

It called for the formation of an independent and impartial international commission of inquiry to visit these prisons and reveal the names of individuals whose involvement in the commission of egregious violations that constitute crimes against humanity and war crimes, including the crime of torture.

The ministry stressed the need for all human rights and humanitarian institutions to move to file cases in international courts against the aggression coalition, its leaders , tools involved in acts of torture, and to prevent them from impunity.. calling on the international community to take serious punitive measures against the Saudi and Emirati regimes to deter them from continuing to kill Yemeni citizens under torture.
