12 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike on southern Gaza Strip
Twelve Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources told Anadolu: “At least 12 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured in the shelling that hit a house belonging to the Abu Is’haq family in the eastern part of the Khan Yunis Governorate.”
The airstrike came less than 24 hours after an Israeli airstrike on a hospital in Gaza that took an estimated 500 lives and drew widespread condemnation.
A international chorus of non-governmental groups and world leaders is saying the Israeli bombing campaign on Gaza-including healthcare facilities, residences, and houses of worship-violates international law and may constitute war crimes.
Earlier today, Palestinian Health Minister Mai Alkaila told a press conference that the Palestinian death toll in Gaza has risen to approximately 3,300 and over 13,000 injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes since Oct. 7. More than 1,400 people were also killed in Israel.
