“Shopping Shrapnel”

In a human rights report entitled “Shopping Shrapnel”, the Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights documented the crime of bombing by the aggression coalition aircraft on a popular market in the Dhahban area in Bani Al-Harith District, affiliated with the Capital Governorate, which killed civilians, including women and children, on August 29, 2016.

 

The report discussed the details of the crime and witness statements, as well as the legal framework of the crime according to international laws and conventions. The report relied on the organization’s statistics regarding the details of the crime and the number of victims, and relied on interviews conducted with witnesses. International law texts, treaties and agreements were referred to in order to clarify the legal framework of the crime committed against women and children in the Dhahban area.
