28 martyrs in the occupation raids and a child dies of starvation due to the siege in Gaza
Twenty-eight Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera. Nineteen of them were killed in the targeting of homes and tents of displaced people in Khan Yunis in the south, including infants and children. A girl also died of malnutrition west of Gaza City, as the famine siege imposed by the occupation continues.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the bodies of nine martyrs were recovered after an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Two young men were killed and others were wounded by Israeli drone fire targeting the Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, according to the correspondent.
The correspondent confirmed that two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli drone fire that struck the Qizan Rashwan area south of Khan Yunis. He also reported that a young man was wounded by Israeli drone fire in the Al-Sha’af area of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
In the Khan Yunis refugee camp, 11 Palestinians, including a child, three infants, and three women, were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the home of the Bayram family, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
The agency added that a martyr, Bassem Al-Qudra, arrived at Nasser Medical Complex after his tent was targeted on the complex’s street, and his wife and two sons were injured.
