Israeli Strikes on Iran Kill 585, Mostly Civilians, Rights Group Reports
A US-based human rights watchdog reported that at least 585 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Iran as a result of Israeli aggression, with more than 1,300 others wounded.
Human Rights Activists, a group based in Washington, DC, reported that among the dead are 239 civilians and 126 members of Iran’s security forces.
On Friday, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, killing top military commanders and nuclear scientists, and striking military bases, nuclear sites and residential areas across the country.
Iran has since unleashed a barrage of missile strikes on Israel in retaliation.
The Iranian Health Ministry said early Monday, in its most recent death toll, that at least 224 people have been killed, 90 percent of them civilians, and 1,481 wounded since Israel attacked Iran.
