Entesaf Organization’s statement regarding the Israeli aggression’s targeting of residential and service neighborhoods in various areas of the capital, Sana’a.

In a fully-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions, the Israeli enemy committed crimes against the Yemeni people today, Thursday, September 25, 2025, by deliberately bombing residential neighborhoods in the Ma’in and Al-Sab’een districts, destroying and damaging a large number of civilian homes and public property, in addition to the Dhahban power station, through a number of airstrikes. The Israeli enemy also targeted a correctional facility housing a number of prisoners and detainees. The raids resulted in the deaths of nine civilians and the wounding of 174 others, according to a preliminary toll. Rescue teams are still working to recover victims and civilians from under the rubble.

This targeting of civilians, civilian facilities, and service facilities constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law, which criminalizes their targeting in any form. It also confirms the Israeli enemy forces’ deliberate violation of the principles and rules of international humanitarian law, including the principles of humanity, distinction, and proportionality. These crimes constitute crimes against humanity and are an extension of the series of war crimes and genocide committed by the Israeli enemy against the Yemeni people.

The shameful silence of the world’s countries, the United Nations, and the Security Council, and their evasion of their duties, is what encourages the Israeli enemy to continue committing further war crimes against civilians in Yemen. This deliberate targeting stems from the Yemeni people’s support for the Palestinian people, who consistently affirm that these airstrikes will not deter them from their positions. We also emphasize the need to investigate and hold accountable all those proven to be involved in these crimes, most notably the United States and Israel.
