22 martyrs in brutal Israeli raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip
Twenty-two Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Saturday in a series of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Nuseirat in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources reported that 22 people were killed in the airstrikes. Nine bodies were taken to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, four to al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, and nine to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a vehicle near the Abbas intersection in the al-Rimal neighborhood, killing five Palestinians and wounding others. Four Palestinians were also killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed the al-Khudari family home on al-Lababidi Street in the al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
WAFA added that Israeli warplanes also bombed the Amouna family home in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing three Palestinians and wounding others, who were taken to al-Awda Hospital. Seven Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Shawish family in Camp 2 of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The report added that Israeli warplanes also bombed the home of the Abed family near the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque, west of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, killing three Palestinians and wounding others who were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city.
A Palestinian was also wounded by Israeli army fire in the center of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy shelling from Israeli tanks south of the city.
Earlier, medical sources announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip had risen to 69,733, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023. The medical sources explained that the number of injuries had risen to 170,863 since the start of the offensive, while a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to rescue teams.
It was reported that seven martyrs and 30 wounded arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours. The total number of martyrs and wounded since the ceasefire agreement on October 11th has reached 318 martyrs and 788 wounded, with 572 bodies recovered.
