Scores of Palestinians injured as Israeli occupation forces storm al-Aqsa Mosque
Occupied Jerusalem, Scores of Palestinians were injured on Friday as Israeli occupation forces attacked the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque.
Wafa News Agency stated that the occupation forces stormed the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque after dawn prayer and fired bullets and poisonous gas bombs at the worshippers, injuring about 67 of them, including nurses and journalists, causing damage to the mosque and smashing some of its windows.
The agency pointed out that the occupation forces heavily deployed in the vicinity of the blessed mosque, evacuating most of the Palestinians from its courtyards, and closing all doors leading to it, in preparation of the entry of extremist settlers and conducting provocative tours inside it.
On Thursday, Israeli settlers announced their intention to storm al-Aqsa Mosque in large numbers between the 15th and 22nd of April to carry out provocative visits with the support of the occupation forces.
