Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Continued Crimes of the Israeli Occupation Against Civilians in the Gaza Strip
The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the continued grave crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip. These crimes have resulted in a large number of martyrs and wounded, amidst escalating bombardments and direct targeting of residential areas, shelters, and tents housing displaced persons.
In the latest of these crimes, occupation aircraft targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip. This attack resulted in the martyrdom of one person and the injury of five others, including children. This latest attack adds to the ongoing series of violations against the civilian population, who are suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions as a result of the war and the siege.
The organization affirms that these crimes constitute a flagrant violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles of distinction between civilians and combatants, proportionality in the use of force, and the protection of civilians and civilian objects, as stipulated in the Geneva Conventions and relevant international rules. The repeated targeting of civilians, including women, children, and displaced persons, raises serious concerns about the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity, which necessitate international accountability.
The Entisaf Organization holds the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the crimes and violations committed against Palestinian civilians and for the widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure and facilities. It demands independent and transparent international investigations to ensure that those responsible for these violations do not escape punishment.
The organization also calls upon the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, humanitarian and human rights organizations, and Arab and Islamic states to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities and act urgently to stop the attacks on civilians, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, guarantee the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and relief, and support relief and reconstruction efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected population.
The organization reiterates its full solidarity with women, children, and all civilians in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that continued international silence regarding these grave violations encourages their repetition and undermines the principles of justice and human rights.
