Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Escalation of Violations Against Palestinian Prisoners in Israeli Occupation Prisons

The #Entesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the ongoing crimes and grave violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian prisoners, both men and women, in their prisons. These prisoners are subjected to harsh and inhumane detention conditions, constituting a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions.

The organization denounces the systematic torture and deliberate medical neglect to which the prisoners are subjected, in addition to malnutrition, reduced food rations, and the provision of meals unfit for human consumption. Furthermore, it condemns the harsh collective punishments, including deliberate exposure to high temperatures for extended periods, which pose a direct threat to their lives and physical and psychological well-being.

The Entisaf Organization affirms that the treatment of male and female prisoners, especially women, constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, amounting to war crimes. This is due to the systematic targeting of the most vulnerable groups, particularly female prisoners and children, in a repressive policy aimed at breaking their will and depriving them of their most basic human rights.

The organization holds the occupying authorities fully responsible for the lives and safety of the male and female prisoners and calls upon the international community, the United Nations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to take immediate and urgent action to stop these violations, ensure the necessary protection for the prisoners, and launch an independent and transparent international investigation into the conditions of detention in the occupation’s prisons.

The Entisaf Organization also calls upon the International Criminal Court to open an urgent investigation to prosecute the perpetrators of these violations as war criminals and urges serious international action to compel the occupation to respect the rights of prisoners and guarantee their human dignity.

The organization calls upon all human rights and feminist organizations, and all free people around the world, to intensify their efforts and solidarity with the male and female prisoners, and to work to break the international silence regarding their ongoing suffering.
