Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Continued Targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital and Medical Staff in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Occupation

The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the continued crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians, the latest of which was the targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital and its staff, despite its location within what is known as the Green Zone. This constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions that guarantee the protection of health facilities and medical personnel during armed conflicts.

The continued Israeli attacks on hospitals, medical staff, and health facilities constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit targeting medical facilities and personnel. These attacks endanger the lives of patients and medical staff and undermine the ability of the health system in the Gaza Strip to provide life-saving medical services amidst the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.

The Entisaf Organization affirms that the repeated targeting of hospitals, ambulances, and medical personnel constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity. This reflects a systematic policy aimed at destroying the health infrastructure and depriving civilians of their right to treatment and healthcare, as part of a series of ongoing crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.

The organization holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for these crimes. It also holds the United Nations, the Security Council, the international community, and Muslim and Arab states responsible for their continued silence and inaction in taking practical measures to stop these grave violations. This silence has emboldened the occupation to continue committing further crimes against civilians and medical facilities.

The Entisaf Organization reiterates its call to the international community, and in particular the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, to open urgent and independent investigations into these crimes, hold all those responsible accountable, and ensure they do not escape punishment. It also calls upon human rights and humanitarian organizations and all freedom-loving people worldwide to intensify their efforts to pressure for the immediate protection of civilians and health facilities in the Gaza Strip, to work towards ending the aggression, and to ensure respect for the rules of international humanitarian law.
