Entesaf Condemns the Targeting of Al-Tarira Village in Taiz and the Killing of Three Children

Entesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the shelling of Al-Tarira village in Al-Wazi’iyah District, Taiz Governorate, which resulted in the killing of three children and the injury of several civilians. This is yet another crime added to a series of violations targeting civilians, particularly children, and putting their lives at risk.

The organization condemns the continued targeting of populated areas and villages, resulting in civilian casualties, harm to families, and suffering among the population. Such attacks constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law, which requires the protection of civilians, particularly children, from killing, injury, and deliberate targeting.

Entesaf Organization affirms that the killing of children and the injury of civilians constitute a crime against humanity and reflect the scale of suffering endured by civilians as a result of the continued military operations. The organization holds the Saudi enemy and its affiliated forces fully responsible for this crime and for the resulting casualties, damage, and humanitarian suffering.

The organization calls on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, work to halt crimes and violations against civilians, provide the necessary protection for women and children, launch independent investigations into these violations, and hold those responsible accountable in accordance with international law.
