Entesaf Condemns the Targeting of Citizens’ Homes and Farms in Saada, Injuring Two Women

The Entesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the crime of the Saudi enemy’s artillery shelling of citizens’ homes and farms in the Al-Hajlah area of Razih District, Saada Governorate, which resulted in two women sustaining injuries. This is another crime targeting civilians and placing their lives at risk.

The organization stresses that the targeting of homes and farms not only results in direct injuries, but also exacerbates the humanitarian and living conditions of affected families, deprives citizens of their sources of livelihood, and spreads fear and anxiety among residents, particularly women and children, who find themselves exposed to the danger of shelling inside their homes and around their residential and agricultural areas.

The organization warns of the humanitarian consequences of the continued targeting of civilian areas, which threatens the lives of residents, damages their property and sources of livelihood, and deepens their suffering, constituting a clear violation of the rules requiring the protection of civilians and civilian objects from attack.

The Entesaf Organization holds the Saudi enemy fully responsible for this crime and its resulting humanitarian consequences. It calls on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, work to halt attacks against civilians, their property, and sources of livelihood, and ensure the protection of women, children, and all civilian residents.

The organization also renews its call for independent and transparent investigations into crimes and violations committed against civilians, for those responsible to be held accountable, and for an end to impunity.
