Entesaf Organization Condemns the Escalation of Saudi Aggression and the Launch of 1,209 Airstrikes and Missile Attacks Against Several Yemeni Governorates Since the Start of the Escalation

Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights strongly condemns the continued Saudi aggression against Yemen and its ongoing military escalation. Over the past 24 hours, 51 airstrikes targeted civilians and civilian objects in the governorates of Taiz, Saada, Ma’rib, Hudaydah, and Amran. The total number of airstrikes and missile attacks since the beginning of the escalation has reached 1,209, constituting a grave violation that threatens the lives of civilians and exacerbates the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The organization emphasizes that the continued airstrikes and attacks on Yemeni territory, accompanied by the targeting of civilians, facilities, and civilian objects, constitute serious violations of the rules of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles prohibiting attacks against civilians and civilian objects.

Entesaf Organization warns of the grave humanitarian consequences of the continued aggression and blockade, which may result in further civilian casualties, particularly among women and children, as well as the destruction of property, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, further deepening the humanitarian crisis faced by the Yemeni people.

The organization calls on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to take serious and urgent action to halt the Saudi aggression and lift the blockade, ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects, and conduct independent and transparent investigations into all violations and crimes committed against the Yemeni people.

Entesaf Organization also renews its call for accountability for those responsible for grave violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, ensuring that perpetrators do not enjoy impunity, and providing justice and reparations to the victims for the harm they have suffered.
