Entisaf Organization: The Blood of Children and Women in Yemen is a Humanitarian Cry Against the Crimes of the Saudi Aggression

Entisaf Organization Condemns Crimes of Saudi Aggression and Civilian Casualties Among Women and Children in Al-Jawf and Taiz

Sanaa – October 12, 2026

Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights condemns, in the strongest terms, the escalating crimes of the Saudi aggression that have affected several Yemeni governorates. These actions have resulted in civilian casualties—including women and children—in the Al-Jawf and Taiz governorates, amidst mounting threats to the lives of safe civilians and the worsening humanitarian situation in the country.

The organization emphasizes that the recent crimes—targeting residential neighborhoods, homes, and civilian infrastructure—have increased the documented casualty toll. Airstrikes on civilian homes and a government complex in the Khabb wa ash Sha’af district of Al-Jawf Governorate resulted in the deaths of nine civilians (including two children and a woman) and injuries to four others—a figure that remains provisional. Meanwhile, shelling on the village of Al-Mukh’af in the Al-Aqroud sub-district of Al-Masrakh (Taiz Governorate) killed a child and injured his mother. Additionally, seven children were injured by the explosion of a remnant of the aggression—a mine planted inside a civilian home in the Al-Afirah area of Jabal Habashi district, Taiz. These bloody scenes reflect the grave dangers facing Yemeni families, particularly women and children. The organization explains that civilian casualties occurring within their homes and villages—and the transformation of dwellings meant to provide safety and protection into scenes of death and injury from landmines and airstrikes—constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. This serves as further evidence of the ongoing civilian toll from attacks on populated areas and the direct threat these attacks pose to the lives of the most vulnerable groups.

Entisaf Organization emphasizes that these crimes and violations are an extension of the suffering endured by the Yemeni people due to the ongoing escalation. It asserts that residential areas and civilian objects must be afforded the protection mandated by international humanitarian law—specifically the principles of distinction and proportionality—and that attacks endangering civilian lives require serious, independent investigations into their circumstances and an assessment of compliance with legal obligations.

The organization notes that these tragic incidents represent only a fraction of the total casualties resulting from the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen over the past 12-plus years. They do not reflect the full extent of the accumulated human toll or the widespread humanitarian suffering—affecting all segments of Yemeni society, particularly women and children—caused by the aggression and blockade.

The organization warns that continued escalation and the targeting of civilian areas and facilities exacerbate the suffering of Yemeni families. These actions deepen the psychological, social, and health-related impacts—burdens borne largely by women and children—at a time when these groups require protection, care, and the safeguarding of their safety and fundamental rights as guaranteed by international conventions, most notably the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Entisaf Organization holds the Saudi-led aggression fully legally responsible for the crimes and violations committed against the Yemeni people over the past 12-plus years. It demands transparent and independent investigations into all attacks and incidents involving the planting of landmines inside citizens’ homes; calls for holding those responsible accountable under international law and ensuring they do not escape accountability or punishment; and insists on securing justice and redress for the victims.

The organization also calls upon the United Nations, the international community, and human rights, humanitarian, and child-welfare organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities. It urges urgent action to halt the ongoing aggression and blockade, provide effective protection for civilians, and support and intensify programs to clear landmines and remnants of the aggression—thereby securing homes and roads before residents return—while ensuring access to aid and to medical and psychological care for the wounded and affected.

Furthermore, the organization emphasizes that protecting women and children is not merely a humanitarian commitment but a legal obligation mandated by the rules of international humanitarian law. It asserts that the blood of those killed in villages and homes constitutes a humanitarian outcry demanding urgent international action—moving beyond verbal condemnation to practical measures that guarantee the protection of the population, hold perpetrators of violations accountable, and ensure justice and redress for the victims. Entisaf Organization concluded its statement by emphasizing that the continued toll of civilian casualties necessitates responsible and effective international action to halt the attacks, investigate violations, hold those responsible accountable, provide necessary protection for civilians, ensure the non-recurrence of these crimes against women, children, and civilians, and end the humanitarian suffering endured by the Yemeni people due to the ongoing aggression and blockade for over twelve years.
