An annual report released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reveals the devastating impact of the ongoing genocide and healthcare collapse on maternal and child health throughout 2025.

The report documents the killings of 10,899 women of childbearing age and injuries to more than 17,400 others, alongside a nearly 9% drop in live births compared to 2022.

Severe food insecurity has left over 52% of pregnant women and 85% of postpartum mothers suffering from anemia, while nearly 98% of births were concentrated in a handful of overcrowded, struggling facilities.
