Palestinians hold “Friday of Anger” prayer in Gaza Strip, in supporting prisoners

The Palestinians continue their struggle movements and activities in support of the prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist enemy. This afternoon, the Palestinian forces and factions held Friday prayers in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza City.

Supporting the prisoners, in conjunction with their continued struggle, to confront the war waged against them by the so-called criminal Zionist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.

A number of leaders of the Palestinian factions and families of the prisoners participated in the prayer, who raised pictures and banners supporting the prisoners, bearing the slogan “Friday of Anger – Volcano of Freedom or Martyrdom.”

The leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Dr. Jamil Elyan that the prisoners continue the steps of collective disobedience for the thirty-second day in a row, rejecting the procedures implemented by the Zionist prison administrations against them.

Elyan said in an exclusive interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): The protest steps taken by prisoners in prisons will end with a mass hunger strike at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

He added, “We cannot separate between what is happening in prisons, where 5,000 Palestinian prisoners are behind bars, and what is happening in terms of daily killings in the West Bank, as this criminal tendency reflects a Zionist confusion and failure to address the issue and Palestinian rights.”

The leader in the Islamic Jihad pointed out that the failure of the Zionist enemy in the face of the movements of the mujahideen will be followed by new Zionist measures and crimes, but the resistance is capable of creating new equations with its field unity in the West Bank, its vertical and horizontal expansion, and the unity of the arenas, including the prisoners’ arena.

Elyan continued, saying: “We will not tire of struggle and jihad, and we will continue the journey of resistance until aborting the enemy’s steps and liberating all of Palestine.”

Meanwhile, a member of the Prisoners’ Committee of the National and Islamic Forces, Yasser Mezher, attacked international human rights organizations for evading their duties towards the prisoners, and for not visiting the prisoner who has been on hunger strike for 41 days, Sheikh Khader Adnan.

On the sidelines of the event in support of the prisoners, Muzher said in an exclusive interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): “We are holding Friday prayers today in support of the heroic prisoners against the punitive measures taken by the prisons in the Zionist entity.”

Mezher added, “We came to shout a new cry in the face of all international institutions, led by the Red Cross, which remains silent about the suffering of the prisoners and does not carry out its duties towards the violations that our prisoners are exposed to, morning and evening.”

The Prisoners’ Information Office had reported this morning that the prisoners had taken a decision to burn some rooms in the prison sections in response to the punitive measures against them and in light of the prison administration’s delay in responding to their demands.

The prisoners in the Zionist enemy prisons continue for the 32nd day in a row, their struggle steps to confront the practices of the Zionist jailer, and to challenge the measures of the “Minister of National Security” Itamar Ben Gvir, amid new escalatory measures.
