Entesaf Organization publishes book entitled “Women and Blood”

Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights, in Sana’a, organized an event on the occasion of the release of the book “Women and Blood”, which documents the most prominent crimes of the US-Saudi aggression against Yemeni women, during the past years.

In the event that was held in conjunction with the passage of 3,000 days of aggression, and under the slogan “America kills Yemeni women,” the Minister of Human Rights, Ali Al-Dailami, stated that every day carries thousands of stories about the crime and suffering that the Yemeni people experienced over the three thousand days of aggression.

He explained that, since the first day, the aggression directed direct air strikes against civilians and innocent defenseless women and children, indicating that the aggression fighters launched thousands of air raids with various internationally prohibited weapons and bombs, and the most targeted governorates were Saada, then Amran, Hajjah, Sana’a, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda.

Al-Dailami stressed that the aggression committed war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity.

He pointed out that the countries of aggression tended to fuel internal conflicts, spread hatred in the occupied governorates, and established militias that committed hundreds of crimes against women, including kidnappings, rape, murder, and others.

The Minister of Human Rights stressed that the crimes committed by the aggression will not be subject to a statute of limitations, and the perpetrators will be brought to trial.

For his part, the member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah, the official in charge of the human rights and legal department, Judge Abdul-Wahhab Al-Mahbashi, appreciated the efforts of the organization in preparing the book and bringing it to light, stressing that targeting civilians is a heinous crime, while targeting women is more heinous and a greater crime.

He stated that the crimes committed against the women of Yemen during the three thousand days of aggression clearly reveal the lies and falsehood of the West and expose its claims to defend women’s rights and freedom.

In turn, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration in charge of the women’s file, Halima Jahaf, reviewed what Yemeni women have been subjected to for more than eight years, indicating that the reality of women was linked to blood, pain and suffering.

She pointed out that the aggression targeted Yemenis with starvation and siege other than killing, especially women, as thousands died due to the lack of health services and the closure of airports and safe roads, as well as the additional burdens they bore as a result of the aggression, siege and cutting of salaries.

Jahaf explained that the Yemeni woman painted a bright picture of her steadfastness, and facing the burdens of life in light of the aggression and siege.

While the head of the organization, Somaya Al-Taifi, pointed out the importance of the effectiveness in exposing the United Nations and the relevant international bodies of all international and humanitarian laws that have faded in the face of the ongoing tragedy of Yemeni women since March 2015.

Al-Taifi explained that the organization documented and verified thousands of raids that caused thousands of civilian casualties, especially women.

She stated that the book documented 1,518 crimes against women in Yemen, and the killing of 2,452 women and the injury of 2,976 women in 19 governorates, indicating that Saada governorate ranked first in the number of victims with 1,490 dead and wounded, followed by the Capital Municipality with 633, then Taiz with 624, and fourth Hodeidah with 619.
