Violent Clashes Erupted Between UAE-Backed Transitional Council And Protesters In Occupied Aden

Violent clashes erupted between the UAE-backed Transitional Council militia and members of the Youth Movement, in the occupied city of Aden, on Saturday night, resulting in injuries.

According to media sources, the transitional militia stormed the Al-Shohada Square in Mansoura, and arrested a number of movement activists present in the square, which led to the outbreak of clashes.

The sources added that the transitional militia opened fire on the protesters, injuring two people.

This development comes amid escalating tensions between the Transitional Council militia and the opposing movement in the occupied city of Aden, which is witnessing popular discontent and demonstrations condemning the deteriorating living conditions and the power outages in the city, which is under the authority of the invasion and occupation forces.

The Saudi-backed government continues to take economic measures that directly affect the service and living conditions of the Yemeni People, especially in the southern regions, and exacerbate their disastrous suffering as a result of the US-Saudi siege and aggression.

Electricity outages have multiplied over the past two days as a result of the lack of diesel and fuel, which caused most stations to stop serving. This made the outage hours rise to eight or nine hours.

Local media in Aden reported that the head of the Saudi-backed government, Maeen Abdul Malik, deliberately continued the electricity crisis. This is by not paying for two shipments of fuel that were present in the port since last Sunday evening.

Aden is witnessing, for the fifth day in a row, a large-scale protest, condemning the deterioration of services, especially electricity, and the deterioration of living conditions. The security forces used live ammunition to disperse the protests, which resulted in injuries. The security authorities also imposed a curfew, and launched a campaign of prosecution and arrests against a number of protesters.

The protests included several districts, including Crater, Mansoura, Al-Buraiqa and Sheikh Othman, where a number of main roads were blocked, while the protesters raised banners calling for the expulsion of the coalition from Yemen and the overthrow of the government loyal to it and the UAE-backed Transitional Council.
