Scores of Gazan hospitals out of service due to Israeli attacks
The Gazan authorities announced that the Israeli army has directly bombed at least 8 hospitals in the last 3 days. It also added that 18 hospitals have been out of service since the attacks began on 7 October.
Selame Maruf, head of the government’s media office in Gaza, issued a written statement on the situation in the region.
Maruf stated that Israeli forces shelled the courtyard of Shifa Hospital last night and recently shelled the entrance of Nasr Hospital.
Maruf emphasised that the Israeli bombing of hospitals and turning them into military targets is a “war crime” under international law. Dozens of people died and were injured as a result of the attacks on these facilities, which needed to be protected.
