The staff of the Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights attended a panel discussion on protection and participation for women, which was organized by the Women’s File in the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah on the occasion of International Muslim Women’s Day – the birth of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her.
In the opening session, Dr. Halima Jahaf, responsible for the women’s file in the Political Bureau, pointed out that protection is a societal act that protects, supports and nurtures women and other measures that support them.
She touched on the participation of women in all fields and its impact on strengthening societal resilience during nine years of resilience, indicating the importance of producing tangible results from the discussions.
In the first paper, Director of the Women’s Department at the Ministry of Human Rights, Mona Al-Saqqaf, reviewed international laws related to women, Yemen’s position on them, and the perception of international organizations in monitoring violations and crimes against women.
For her part, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Hoda Al-Emad, explained in the second paper entitled “Divine Justice, the Islamic Perspective for Women – The Qur’anic Project as a Model,” that the Qur’anic process has the primary role in consolidating women’s responsibilities and clarifying the status granted to them by Islam.
She pointed out that Islam’s honor for women is clearly evident in proving responsibilities and that violations leave an impact on women and their performance of their roles.
