Disappearance of a journalist on her way to the University of Aden

A student in the Department of Journalism and Media at the Faculty of Arts, University of Aden, has disappeared during the past hours, under mysterious circumstances.

The family of the student, Asmaa Bassem Abdullah, said, “Her daughter left the house yesterday morning, Thursday, heading to the Faculty of Information in Khour Maksar, and she did not return home.”

The family added that she was unable to communicate with her daughter because her phone was turned off without knowing her whereabouts.

The honorable people of Aden appealed to help her search for her daughter.

The phenomenon of disappearance and kidnapping of girls and women in Aden has expanded during the past five years, amid reports of the presence of organized networks funded by the Emirates that are behind the criminal acts in the city.
