Entisaf Organization holds press conference on crimes, violations of Zionist aggression in Gaza
Entisaf Organization for Women’s and Children’s Rights held a press conference today during which it issued its report on the most prominent crimes and violations of the Zionist aggression against children and women in the Gaza Strip.
The organization confirmed in the press conference, which coincides with the passage of a year of brutal Zionist aggression on Gaza, that since the seventh of October 2023, the Zionist entity has persisted in committing massacres against civilians, women, and children in the Gaza Strip, Rafah and the West Bank in Palestine, which led to the fall of tens of thousands of martyrs and injuries without distinguishing between civilians and military targets.
It stated in its report that the number of massacres committed by the criminal Zionist entity since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza until the sixth of October 2024 AD amounted to three thousand 654 massacres, as a result of which 41 thousand 870 martyrs fell, including 11 thousand and 487 women, and 16 thousand and 927 children, including 171 infants born and killed during the aggression on Gaza, and 170 children were killed and their age is less than a year.
According to the report, the number of wounded reached 97,166 people and more than ten thousand missings, 902 Palestinian families were cleared from the civil registry, and the percentage of children and women amounted to more than 69 percent of the number of civilian casualties.
It explained that the number of explosives dropped by the occupation on the Gaza Strip reached 85,000 tons, where more than 430,000 housing units and 962 mosques were completely and partially destroyed, in addition to targeting three churches and removing 700 water wells from service.
It pointed out that the Zionist entity killed 986 medical personnel and is still arresting 310 health staff from the Gaza Strip, as well as targeting 13 ambulances and 276 health institutions, hospitals, and health centers. He pointed out that there are more than 12,000 wounded who need to travel abroad.
The report indicated that the Zionist occupation destroyed 125 schools and universities, and 337 schools and universities partially, and the number of students killed reached 12 thousand 700 students, and the occupation deprived 785 thousands of students of education and killed 750 teachers and workers in the Gaza Strip.
It confirmed that 65 buildings belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 124 severe damage and 62 destruction, 69 schools and five universities in the West Bank were raided and vandalized, and 133 public schools were used as shelters in the Gaza Strip.
The report pointed out that the Zionist aggression caused the displacement of two million people in shelters, and targeted 187 centers to shelter the displaced. He explained that the number of displaced patients who need treatment abroad reached more than three thousand, and the number of infected with infectious diseases as a result of displacement reached one million 737 thousand, and 524 people.
He stressed that the number of children at risk of dying from malnutrition reached three thousand and 500, while 36 children died as a result of famine. He pointed out that according to statistics, 60 percent of the stocks of medicines in the Gaza Strip are empty, 83 percent of the medical supplies in the Gaza Strip hospitals are not available, and 74 percent of life-saving medicines are not available in the Gaza Strip.
During the press conference, the organization called for stopping the Zionist aggression on Gaza, withdrawing from it, lifting the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air, allowing the return of the displaced, and forming an independent fact-finding committee to investigate all violations and crimes occurring in Palestine in general and in Gaza in particular, and bringing the perpetrators of crimes and massacres to trial.
It stressed the importance of the international community activating the international protection mechanisms for children and women to ensure that those responsible for the Zionist occupation are held accountable as war criminals. It called on the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to shoulder their religious, national, and national responsibilities and to stand by the Palestinian people seriously and practically.
The organization also called on all neighboring countries to strive to open safe corridors to bring adequate humanitarian aid into Gaza, rescue the wounded, and provide them with the necessary health assistance. Calling on the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross to stop the Zionist occupation’s targeting of internationally protected civilian objects such as hospitals and schools and to take appropriate measures in this regard.
