World Children’s Day: Plight of Palestinian children in focus
Palestinian children in Khan Yunis face dire conditions in tent camps and destroyed buildings, spotlighting urgent global child rights issues on World Children’s Day.
On November 20, 1989, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, with the participation of 193 countries, including Israel, adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child to protect children and improve their living conditions.
They declared November 20 as “World Children’s Day.” Palestinian children living in tent camps and destroyed buildings in the city of Khan Yunis continue to struggle under harsh conditions.
