Gaza death toll nears 46,600 amid Israel’s genocidal war
Israeli attacks on Gaza killed 19 more Palestinians, raising the death toll to 46,584 since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported. Rescuers face difficulties reaching trapped victims amid ongoing bombardments. Despite UN cease-fire calls, Israel continues its offensive, drawing global condemnation and ICC war crime charges against its leaders.
At least 19 more Palestinians were killed in unabated Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, bringing the overall death toll since October 2023 to 46,584, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Monday.
A ministry statement added that some 109,731 others were injured in the ongoing assault.
“Israeli forces killed 19 people and injured 71 others in two massacres of families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
Israel has continued a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since a Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.
The second year of genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions labeling the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.
