Entesaf Organization’s Statement on the Occasion of Palestinian Children’s Day, April 5
Nearly 19,000 children have been martyred in the Gaza Strip, and approximately 39,000 have lost one or both parents since October 7, 2023.
#PalestinianChildren’sDay
Every year, April 5th marks Palestinian Children’s Day, with the aim of supporting Palestinian children who continue to suffer from the lack of the most basic rights to enjoy their innocent childhood and the right to life due to ongoing Israeli violations against them. Israel flouts all international conventions and norms. Thousands of children in Gaza have been killed, especially since October 7, 2023. The Zionist entity has targeted Gaza’s children with hundreds of thousands of airstrikes, resulting in the deaths of more than 50,669 people, including approximately 19,000 children, including approximately 274 infants born and killed under the bombardment, and 876 children under the age of one. 115,225 people have been wounded, including 69% of women and children, and more than 11,200 are missing, 70% of whom are women and children. In other words, the Israeli enemy has been killing and wounding 100 children every day since the resumption of the aggression on March 8, 2025.
While those who remain alive live in fear, panic, hunger, and siege, or are displaced with their families in the open, amidst the shameful silence of the entire world, the United Nations, and its organizations.
While 51% of the population of the Gaza Strip are children, they constitute the largest proportion of victims of Israeli bombardment. There are more than 39,384 orphaned children who have lost one or both parents, including approximately 17,000 children deprived of both parents, facing life in a complete lack of support and care. Approximately 1.9 million Palestinians, including tens of thousands of children, have been forcibly displaced repeatedly since the start of the war in Gaza. The severe shortage of nutritious food, clean water, and medical services also affects children and hinders mothers’ ability to breastfeed, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip, where 3,500 children are at risk of dying from malnutrition, food shortages, and starvation. Due to the worsening famine and malnutrition crisis, approximately 60,000 children are at risk of severe malnutrition, while approximately 1.95 million people are expected to suffer from dangerous levels of food insecurity.
It is estimated that 4,700 Palestinians have suffered amputations as a result of the Israeli genocide, including 18 percent of children. Many amputations are performed without anesthesia, as hospitals are overcrowded with children and their parents.
Regarding education, more than 17,000 children, both boys and girls, have been martyred in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
The organization calls for an end to the aggression and unjust siege on Palestine in all its forms. We call on the free people of the world to stand with the Palestinian people by exposing the crimes of the United States and its allies, including Britain, Israel, Western countries, and countries considered part of the Islamic Ummah.
The organization appealed to the United Nations to rescind the decision to remove the aggression coalition from the list of those killing and maiming children, as they continue to commit horrific massacres against women and children from the beginning of the aggression to this day.
The organization called on all human rights, legal, and media organizations and bodies to highlight all violations and crimes committed against civilians, especially women and children, and expose them to international public opinion, in preparation for bringing the perpetrators to justice and prosecuting them. It also called for the formation of an independent international fact-finding committee to investigate all crimes and violations that have occurred since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
The organization renewed its call to the peoples of the world and the Islamic nation not to forget the blood that has been shed and continues to be shed in Palestine, and for all crimes to be used as fuel for liberation from subjugation and foreign tutelage. The normalizing countries must halt all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity.
