Statement of Condemnation by the #Entesaf Organization Regarding the Continued Crimes and Massacres of the Israeli-Zionist Occupation Aggression Against Health Facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran

We condemn and denounce in the strongest terms the continuation of the series of crimes committed by the Israeli-Zionist occupation against the Iranian people. The Israeli enemy has targeted a hospital in the capital, Tehran, six ambulances, and a health service center with missile attacks since the beginning of the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

These crimes of targeting hospitals, health centers, and other such facilities constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law, which criminalizes the targeting of hospitals and health centers, which enjoy special protection under international humanitarian law in times of armed conflict. These facilities are considered civilian objects that must be respected and protected from any attack. This includes all facilities and buildings dedicated to providing medical care to the wounded and sick. It is prohibited to target or use them for military purposes, as stipulated in Article 19 of the First Geneva Convention of 1949 and Article 12 of Additional Protocol I to the Conventions, which protect hospitals and health care centers during armed conflict. These articles stipulate that medical facilities must be respected and protected and not targeted, and that medical transports must also be protected.

The purely civilian nature of the crime scene confirms the Israeli occupation army’s deliberate violation of the principles and rules of international humanitarian law, including the principles of humanity, distinction, and proportionality. This has made these crimes amount to war crimes against humanity and an extension of the series of war crimes and genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in Iran.

We hold the Israeli occupation forces responsible for all crimes targeting civilians, hospitals, ambulances, and others. We also hold the United Nations, the Security Council, and Muslim and Arab countries responsible for their shameful silence and shirking of their duties, which has encouraged the Israeli occupation to continue committing further war crimes against civilians on Iranian territory.

We renew our appeal to the international community, particularly the International Court of Justice, to open an investigation, hold criminals accountable, and punish all those proven to be involved in these crimes. We call on human rights and humanitarian organizations, all Muslim and Arab countries, and honorable and free people around the world to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities in supporting the oppressed Iranian people, condemning the horrific crimes committed by the Israeli occupation, and pressuring the United Nations, specifically the Security Council, to fulfill their legal duty. The ethical and moral imperative to protect civilians and stop this deliberate aggression.
