Entesaf Organization: Women and Children Victims of Aggression Exceeded 13,000
Enstesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights announced that the number of children and women victims of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression in Yemen has reached 13,343 dead and wounded during seven years.
The organization indicated in a statistic that the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of, that the number of dead women and children amounted to six thousand and 274, including two thousand and 428 women and three thousand and 848 children.
While the number of wounded reached seven thousand and 69, including two thousand and 852 women and four thousand and 217 children, during the seven years of the aggression.
Also, they pointed out that the siege of the aggression causes the loss of 100,000 newborn children at a rate of 6 children every two hours, and more than three thousand children with cancer are at risk of death.
Also, more than two thousand children with liquid diseases “leukemia” are deprived of receiving the necessary health care as a result of the siege and aggression, preventing the entry of radioactive materials needed to treat cancer patients, and preventing critical cases from traveling abroad to receive treatment according to the demands of the Ministry of Health.
The statistic indicated that the continuation of the aggression and the unjust siege also led to the spread of many diseases among women and children, most notably malnutrition and congenital malformations resulting from the coalition’s use of internationally prohibited weapons, and exacerbated the number of cases of heart disease and cancer.
It stated that the remnants of cluster bombs dropped by the coalition of aggression over a period of seven years caused the killing, wounding and maiming of three thousand and 841 civilians, including women and children, including one thousand and 19 dead, including 115 children and 39 women, and two thousand and 822 wounded, including women and children.
The organization stressed that the continued prevention of entry of oil derivatives threatens to stop more than 1,500 hospitals and health centers, and 400 blood banks and laboratories, and threatens the lives of thousands of patients and exacerbates their suffering.
They pointed out that more than five thousand and 200 patients with kidney failure, their lives are threatened with death due to the acute shortage of oil derivatives designated for fifteen dialysis centers in a number of governorates, and 200 children born daily are condemned to inevitable death in the event of a complete lack of fuel from hospitals and medical centers. Threatening to close nurseries in a number of hospitals.
About 200,000 diabetic patients need insulin, which needs proper cooling, in light of severe indications that their cooling devices are about to stop.
In the education sector, the statistic reported that the total number of damaged facilities was 16,734 schools, including three thousand and 676 schools as a result of the raids and siege of the aggression, while the number of damaged and closed school students reached one million and 905 thousand and 615 students, and more than one million students dropped out of the school. Education, in addition to two million boys and girls who were out of education from previous periods, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Education.
With regard to the suffering of displaced women and children, the statistic indicated that the number of displaced persons has risen to four million, 495,558, and the number of displaced families has reached 670,343 families in 15 governorates.
Also, touched on the tragic situation of women and children in the occupied territories, where kidnapping and rape crimes against women and children spread, and rates of violence among children increased by 63% compared to before the aggression.
The head of the Organization Sumaya Al-Taifi , held the coalition of aggression led by America and Saudi Arabia responsible for all crimes and violations against civilians, and called on the international community, UN organizations, and human rights and humanitarian bodies to bear legal and humanitarian responsibility for the violations and heinous massacres that occur against civilians of the Yemeni people.
