Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights called for an international investigation and the immediate criminal accountability of the leaders of the US-led coalition, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, as well as members of the Islah Party, and anyone proven to be involved in the execution of prisoner Issa al-Afari.

The Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights called for an international investigation and the immediate criminal accountability of the leaders of the US-led coalition, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, as well as members of the Islah Party, and anyone proven to be involved in the execution of prisoner Issa al-Afari.

This came during a visit by a human rights team from the organization, headed by Sumaya al-Tayfi, to the prisoner’s family in the capital, Sana’a, to offer condolences to the prisoner’s sister, Amani al-Afari.

Al-Tayfi explained that members of the Islah Party, which is under the leadership of the coalition, executed al-Afari after fabricating a false charge and conducting an illegal, sham trial. She noted that the incident demonstrates the extent of the criminality and brutality practiced by these members.

She indicated that the crime is an extension of a series of murders, dragging, and torture of detainees and prisoners by coalition-affiliated militias.

The team heard the suffering of the Al-Afari family and the injustice and attacks they were subjected to, which culminated in the death of their mother, Hadiya Sultan, who was run over by military vehicles belonging to Islah Party members, and the deaths of her two sons by fire from the aggression’s forces in Taiz Governorate.

Al-Tayfi confirmed that the organization is in the process of issuing a special human rights report covering the entire family’s life and their murder at the hands of the aggression’s mercenaries after they stood up against injustice and tyranny and confronted the mercenaries.
