The World Health Organization warned that recent improvements in Gaza’s food security are fragile and could quickly be reversed, despite no area currently being classified as in famine.
WHO said widespread destruction, restricted aid access, and a collapsed health system continue to threaten lives, with over 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women projected to face acute malnutrition by April.
Only half of Gaza’s health facilities are partially functioning, prompting calls to urgently scale up medical supplies, temporary hospitals, and humanitarian access to prevent a renewed crisis.
