12 martyrs in Israeli bombing of Gaza City and Khan Younis
Twelve Palestinians were killed and others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on several areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday. The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called for pressure on Israel to halt its attacks and immediately move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
Sources in Gaza hospitals reported that 12 Palestinians, including six children, were killed by Israeli fire outside their deployment zones in Gaza City and Khan Younis in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli artillery shelled areas within its deployment zone in the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.
Earlier on Saturday morning, ambulance and emergency services in the Gaza Strip reported that several Palestinians were killed and others wounded in Gaza City by an Israeli airstrike that targeted an apartment building outside the Israeli army’s deployment zones.
Ambulance and emergency services also reported that a number of Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
He said a girl was wounded by Israeli fire outside of its deployment areas in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported on Friday that two Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a group of civilians in the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
