Sana’a – Saba:

A human rights team from the Entisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights met today with Shams Abdulmalik al-Kabsi, a former prisoner released from the prisons of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression’s mercenaries in Marib.

During the visit, the team, headed by the organization’s president, Sumaya al-Taifi, listened to al-Kabsi’s testimony regarding the circumstances of her arrest and the grave violations she endured behind bars in the political security prisons in Marib for four years.

Al-Kabsi confirmed to the team that her trip to Marib Governorate was for purely humanitarian and civilian purposes: to obtain a passport so she could travel abroad for medical treatment due to a heart condition. However, she fell victim to arbitrary abduction on fabricated charges, including “disrupting security” and espionage.

The organization revealed that its direct examination of the detainee and her testimony documented a horrific human tragedy. During her detention, she was subjected to systematic and brutal torture, resulting in electric shocks to her head during interrogation.

The organization indicated that the detainee endured severe psychological and physical pressure, causing her chronic pain, partial loss of motor control, and a sharp decline in her heart condition. Furthermore, she was denied essential medication throughout her years of captivity.

The organization emphasized that this crime constitutes a flagrant violation of international conventions and human values, exposing the falsehood of the claims and slogans raised by the Islah Party and coalition forces in Marib.

The organization reiterated its demand for an urgent international investigation and the immediate criminal prosecution of the political security leadership in Marib and all those involved in the abduction and torture of detainee Shams Abdulmalik al-Kabsi.

She pointed out that she is about to issue a comprehensive human rights report on the injustice suffered by prisoner Shams Al-Kabsi, supported by documented testimonies, to be submitted to international and UN bodies and relevant authorities with the aim of exposing these crimes and ensuring that the perpetrators do not escape punishment.
