Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Rising Number of Martyrs and Wounded After the Ceasefire: 615 Martyrs and 1,658 Wounded
The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights is following with grave concern and outrage the horrific and still incomplete toll of victims of the crimes committed by the Israeli Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. As the recovery of bodies continues in areas that have become accessible, atrocities beyond description are being revealed, with the death toll from the massacres alarmingly exceeding initial figures. Since the ceasefire was announced on October 11, the number of martyrs has reached 615, while the number of wounded has reached 1,658.
The organization affirms that these crimes and massacres constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which mandates strict protection for civilians and civilian objects. The occupation army’s deliberate targeting of innocent civilians proves its insistence on disregarding the fundamental principles of international law, foremost among them: the principle of distinction, the principle of proportionality, and the principle of humanity. These acts are nothing less than war crimes and crimes against humanity, and an extension of the systematic genocide that has been perpetrated for years.
The organization holds the Israeli Zionist occupation forces fully responsible for targeting civilians and infrastructure, and demands an immediate and impartial international investigation to ensure the criminal accountability of the perpetrators.
The organization calls upon the United Nations, the Security Council, and Islamic countries to assume their historical responsibilities and take immediate action to provide support to relief and rescue teams to recover and identify the victims.
The organization demands the immediate commencement of comprehensive reconstruction plans, the provision of urgent relief aid, and decisive measures to permanently end the occupation and prevent the recurrence of such crimes.
