Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Abduction of Three Palestinian Women in the West Bank and the Escalating Targeting of Palestinian Women with Arrests

The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the abduction of three Palestinian women from the occupied West Bank by Israeli occupation forces. This act is a continuation of the policy of arbitrary arrests and systematic violations targeting Palestinian women, which has led to an increase in the number of female prisoners in Israeli prisons to approximately 95.

The organization affirms that the arrest of women and their subjection to arbitrary detention and cruel treatment constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, which guarantee the protection of women during times of conflict and occupation.

The organization expresses its deep concern regarding the ongoing escalation in the targeting of Palestinian women through arrest and detention campaigns, and the accompanying violations that infringe upon their dignity and fundamental rights, leaving grave humanitarian, social, and psychological repercussions on Palestinian families.

The organization calls upon the United Nations and relevant international human rights bodies to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities, work to end violations against Palestinian women, release female prisoners, and ensure the necessary protection for women in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The organization also emphasizes that the continued targeting of Palestinian women constitutes a grave violation of international conventions and necessitates an independent international investigation and accountability for those responsible for these violations to ensure they do not escape punishment.
