Donetsk: death toll from the Ukrainian bombardment rises to 94
The Donetsk People’s Republic announcedon Saturday that 94 civilians were killed and 422 others were wounded as a result of the Ukrainian forces’ shelling on its lands during the 73 days of escalation.
The Representative Office of the Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire system said on Telegram channel, “During the 73 days of escalation, 94 civilians, including two children, were killed and 422 civilians, including 37 children, were wounded.
The office added that 2,809 homes and 622 civil infrastructure facilities were damaged, including 37 medical institutions, 96 educational institutions, 163 social security facilities, 26 critical infrastructure facilities, and 300 electricity, water and gas facilities.
The Russian armed forces have been carrying out a special military operation in Ukraine to protect the residents of Donbass region and to prevent the militarization of Kyiv.
