Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Failure of the United States and Israel to Implement the Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Continued Violations in Southern Lebanon
The Entisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights strongly condemns the continued violation by the United States and Israel of their declared commitments and agreements, their failure to implement the provisions related to the cessation of hostilities and withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories, and the accompanying ongoing violations against civilians in southern Lebanon.
The organization denounces the continued military attacks, shelling, and repeated targeting of southern Lebanese regions, resulting in civilian casualties, destruction of property and infrastructure, and the displacement of thousands of families. These actions constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and the obligations arising from the agreements aimed at de-escalation and the protection of the civilian population.
The organization affirms that the failure to implement the agreements and understandings reached undermines efforts to achieve stability and de-escalation, exacerbates the humanitarian and living conditions, and increases the suffering of women and children who bear the brunt of the ongoing Israeli aggression and its profound human, material, psychological, and social consequences.
The organization also emphasizes that the continued presence of Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Lebanese territories and the ongoing violations against the civilian population constitute a clear challenge to international will and efforts to solidify the ceasefire and protect civilians, and threaten to widen the circle of tension and instability in the region.
The Entisaf Organization calls upon the international community, the United Nations, and the guarantors of the agreements to uphold their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take effective measures to ensure full compliance with the signed agreements, halt all violations against civilians, provide necessary protection for women and children, and address the humanitarian consequences of the ongoing escalation.
The organization reiterates that respect for international agreements and adherence to the principles of international law are the cornerstones of achieving security and stability. Impunity for violations of international obligations encourages continued escalation and exacerbates the suffering of affected populations. This necessitates a serious international stance that guarantees respect for agreements, protects civilians, and puts an end to ongoing violations.
