Entesaf Organization Issues Human Rights Report Titled “Generations Beyond the Rubble”

The Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights has released a human rights report titled “Generations Beyond the Rubble.” The report documents the systematic targeting and destruction of Yemen’s education sector during the years of the Saudi-Emirati-US coalition war, highlighting the widespread bombing of schools and educational facilities that has deprived millions of children of their fundamental right to education.

Covering the period from March 26, 2015, to June 2026, the report details violations against schools, students, and educators. It draws upon field monitoring, official statistics, international reports, and direct eyewitness testimonies. Additionally, the report outlines the scale of destruction inflicted on educational institutions and its devastating humanitarian, educational, and psychological impacts, alongside the latest figures on damaged schools and affected students and teachers.

The report also addresses these violations within the framework of international humanitarian law and international treaties that criminalize the targeting of civilian infrastructure and educational institutions. It calls for holding those responsible for these crimes accountable, ensuring the reconstruction of damaged schools, supporting the educational process, and securing a safe learning environment that guarantees children’s right to education.
