32 Civilians killed in two armed attacks in eastern DR Congo

At least 32 civilians were killed in two armed attacks targeting villages in the Mambasa area of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Congolese civil society organizations said the death toll remains preliminary as search operations continue for additional victims, according to the Oman News Agency on Sunday.

The surge in violence has also triggered a new wave of displacement, with residents fleeing the affected villages and nearby areas for fear of further attacks.
