Entesaf Organization Condemns Saudi Aggression Targeting a Residential Home in Taiz, Killing One Person and Injuring Five, Including Women and a Child
Sana’a – October 3, 2026
Entesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights strongly condemns the crime committed by the Saudi aggression forces in targeting a residential home in the Al-Barh area of Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate, killing one civilian and injuring five others, including three women and a child. The new crime targeted civilians inside their homes and further demonstrates the continued targeting of civilian objects and the exposure of women and children to grave risks.
The organization stresses that targeting residential homes and causing civilian casualties, including women and children, constitutes a serious violation of the rules and principles of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles of distinction and proportionality, as well as the obligation to protect civilians and civilian objects from attacks. It also constitutes a violation of the right to life and physical integrity guaranteed under international human rights law.
Entesaf holds the Saudi aggression responsible for this crime and the resulting casualties and humanitarian harm. It warns of the psychological and social consequences that such attacks inflict on families, particularly women and children, who face increasing risks as a result of the continued targeting of residential areas.
Entesaf Organization calls on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take urgent action to stop the Saudi aggression and siege and the targeting of civilians and civilian objects. It also calls for an independent and transparent investigation into this crime, ensuring accountability for those responsible, providing redress and reparations to the victims, and preventing perpetrators of violations from enjoying impunity.
The organization renews its call for the immediate protection of women, children, and all civilians in Yemen; respect for international humanitarian law and international human rights law; and serious international measures to end the Saudi aggression and siege and ensure that crimes against civilians are not repeated.
