Massacres in Al-Jawf, Taiz, Sa’ada: Saudi War Crimes Confirm Inevitability of Retaliation, Retribution
Since the Saudi enemy escalated its aggression against Yemen on September 3rd, its crimes have claimed the lives of 385 martyrs and wounded individuals—the majority being women and children—across 13 governorates, totaling 107 martyrs and 278 wounded.
In fresh crimes added to the long record of brutal massacres committed by the Saudi enemy against civilians, enemy aircraft launched treacherous and cowardly raids yesterday targeting civilians in the governorates of Taiz, Al-Jawf, and Sa’ada, resulting in further casualties.
In Al-Jawf Governorate, a horrific crime committed by the enemy against the Al-Dayel family in the Wadi Oban area of Khab wal-Sha’af District resulted in 16 citizens—mostly women and children—being killed or wounded.
Enemy aircraft committed yet another massacre in Taiz Governorate, launching multiple airstrikes against Al-Zahra School and the health center in Al-Qahaf village (Bani Amer sub-district, Jabal Habashi district). The attack resulted in the death or injury of 15 civilians, including women and children. Meanwhile, a teenage boy was killed, and a man and a woman were wounded by Saudi enemy fire in the Bani Al-Harith area of Baqim district, Saada Governorate.
These ongoing crimes and massacres are part of a series of violations committed by the Saudi enemy against civilians in their homes and against civilian infrastructure in the capital, Sana’a, and various other governorates—acts devoid of all humanitarian and moral principles. At the same time, they stand as living proof of the enemy’s bankruptcy and battlefield impotence; a failure it attempts to compensate for by targeting civilians, civilian objects, and essential service facilities.
Under the legal definitions set forth in the four Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, the massacres committed by the Saudi enemy constitute full-fledged war crimes and a grave violation of the human conscience and international law. The Saudi regime bears full legal, criminal, and moral responsibility for this crime, as well as for all other such crimes and their consequences.
The criminal escalation currently pursued by the Saudi enemy serves as irrefutable evidence of its disarray in the face of the Yemeni people’s steadfastness and resilience. It also exposes the deluded notion that a campaign of bloodshed and destruction could break the will of Yemen’s free people or deter them from defeating the enemy’s military mobilizations and ending the foreign tutelage imposed upon their country. The steadfast strategic equation imposed by the Yemeni Armed Forces—”escalation for escalation, and blockade for blockade”—is the decisive factor in establishing new rules of engagement. These rules teach the criminal Saudi enemy harsh lessons in response to the atrocities it commits against Yemen—its land and its people—crimes that shame humanity.
