Residents ordered to leave homes due to forest fires near Berlin
Residents of several villages south-west of Berlin have been ordered to leave the area due to a forest fire that has been burning since Friday.
On Sunday afternoon, police wrote on Twitter that people should follow the instructions of local law enforcement officers.
The local town hall in Treuenbrietzen is serving as emergency accommodation for the people being evacuated.
Increasing winds were worsening the situation on Sunday. A military helicopter participated in the firefighting operation.
