Statement Condemning the Targeting of Women in the Salah District of Taiz Governorate

The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights condemns in the strongest terms the targeting of residential areas by Saudi-backed mercenaries, resulting in the death of a woman in the Athar District of Taiz Governorate.

The organization emphasizes that targeting areas, particularly women, who are part of the indigenous population, enables them to be targeted directly or collectively. It stresses the need to provide special products for children while protecting civilian communities.

The organization holds the perpetrators of this crime fully responsible for its consequences and calls upon the United Nations and international human rights organizations to investigate this crime, which was committed against Indian women, and to ensure that those responsible are held accountable and punished.

The organization also calls upon the international community to uphold its legal and humanitarian responsibility to put an end to the continued targeting of children, women, and civilians, and to respect international law standards and protect the rights of women and children in Yemen.
