The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the horrific crime committed by the Saudi-led coalition, which targeted the home of Ali Al-Qahm in the Al-Tawila area of Sahar District, Saada Governorate. This latest atrocity adds to a long record of grave violations committed against civilians, civilian infrastructure, and private homes.

The bombardment resulted in the martyrdom of 9 individuals and left 16 others wounded—most of them women and children. Search operations for further victims trapped beneath the rubble are still underway, amidst tragic scenes that underscore the scale of the destruction and suffering inflicted upon the targeted family.

The organization asserts that targeting a home occupied by civilians constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law—specifically the principles that mandate the protection of civilians and civilian objects.

Furthermore, the fact that women and children are among the dead and wounded, and that families remain buried under the debris, serves as a painful reminder that Yemeni civilians continue to pay the heaviest price for these crimes. This persists in an environment of continued impunity, characterized by the absence of effective international mechanisms to ensure the protection of victims and hold the perpetrators of these violations accountable. Entisaf Organization warns that the continued targeting of residential neighborhoods and homes—terrorizing families and killing children and women—cannot be treated merely as statistics in a daily toll. Rather, it constitutes an assault on the right to life and security, a violation of human dignity, and a crime that demands investigation and accountability.

Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights calls upon the international community, the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and relevant international organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities regarding this crime. It urges the initiation of an independent and transparent international investigation into the targeting of Ali al-Qahm’s home—as well as other similar crimes—to hold those who planned, executed, or ordered these acts accountable. Furthermore, it calls for ensuring that the perpetrators of these violations do not go unpunished, providing urgent protection for civilians—especially women and children—and guaranteeing the right of victims and their families to redress, justice, reparation, and compensation. It also demands an end to the targeting of homes, residential neighborhoods, and civilian objects, and insists that all parties be compelled to respect the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, thereby safeguarding the right to life and ensuring the protection and dignity of civilians.
