Entesaf Organization for Women and Child Rights reported that the number of children victims reached to 8,116 dead and wounded in about 8 years.

The organization stated in a statistic issued by it on the occasion of International Children’s Day, November 20, of which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy, that the number of dead children reached 3 thousand and 860, and 4 thousand and 256 wounded until November 19.

Entesaf Organization stated that the number of persons with disabilities increased from 3 million before the aggression to 4.5 million people now, indicating that about six thousand civilians have been disabled as a result of armed hostilities since the start of the aggression, including approximately 5 thousand and 559 children, and the actual number is expected to be much higher.

The statistics indicated that there are at least 2 million and 400 thousand children still out of school out of an estimated 10.6 million children of school age (from 6 to 17 years), while nearly 3 thousand schools are either destroyed or damaged.

It indicated that the number of children who face interruption in education may rise to nearly 6 million children, according to the statistics of the Education Ministry.

It also mentioned that 4 thousand children were victims of the aggression remnants, including 131 children who were killed during the validity of the armistice, which lasted for 6 months, including 25 killed.

The organization drew attention to the exacerbation of child labor in Yemen due to the aggression and siege, explaining that 1.4 million working children are deprived of their most basic rights, and that about 34.3% of working children are between the ages of 5 and 17, with the expansion of the phenomenon of child labor during the period of aggression at rates that may exceed 4 times more than it was previously.

On the health side, it reported that public and private hospitals throughout the Republic are threatened with closure during the next few days due to the blockade and the aggression’s detention of oil derivatives ships.

The organization touched on the tragic situation of children, as a result of the blockade, which led to an increase in malnutrition rates, as more than 2.3 million children under the age of five were registered suffering from malnutrition, and 632,000 children suffered from severe acute malnutrition, which threatened their lives with death during the current year.

Entesaf Organization added that more than 80 newborns die every day in Yemen because of the internationally prohibited weapons used, noting that this is one of the reasons for the high number of preterm infants, as 39% of the percentage of newborns every year are born preterm, as one million and 120 thousand are born in the year born.

The organization held the aggression coalition led by America and Saudi Arabia responsible for all crimes and violations against civilians, especially women and children, 8 years ago, calling on the international community, international organizations, and human rights and humanitarian bodies to bear legal and humanitarian responsibility for the violations and heinous massacres that occur against civilians.

Entesaf Organization called on the free people of the world to take effective and positive action to stop the aggression and protect civilians, and to form an independent international commission to investigate all crimes committed against the Yemeni people, and to hold accountable all those found involved in them.
