Displaced Children: Perpetual Suffering
As a result of the aggression launched against Yemen, the IDPs, including children, suffer from a lack of support from the official and private agencies working in the field of humanitarian relief in Yemen, which provide them with services and basic needs of food, tools, healthcare and medical supplies. Besides, the increase in the unemployment rate has spread among the IDPs, resulting in the aggravation of their sufferings.
Amidst the deteriorating humanitarian situation, which is considered the worst in the world, the Coalition of Aggression continues to piracy on oil derivatives ships. In fact, the number of displaced families has reached hundreds of thousands, distributed over 15 governorates.
UNHCR statistics indicate that Yemen is experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis around the world, with more than 80% of the population requiring some form of assistance. 20 million of these people are facing food insecurity, while 14 million are in need of urgent humanitarian intervention.
