Entesaf Organization Condemns Saudi Escalation and 1,256 Airstrikes and Missile Attacks on Several Yemeni Provinces Since the Start of the Escalation

Entesaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights strongly condemns the continued Saudi aggression against Yemen and its military escalation, which over the past 24 hours involved 47 airstrikes targeting civilians and civilian objects in the provinces of Taiz, Saada, and Al-Jawf. The total number of airstrikes and missile attacks since the beginning of the escalation has reached 1,256, in a serious violation that threatens the lives of civilians and exacerbates the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The organization stresses that the continued airstrikes and attacks on Yemeni territory, along with the targeting of civilians, facilities, and civilian objects, constitute grave violations of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles prohibiting attacks against civilians and civilian objects.

Entesaf Organization warns of the serious humanitarian consequences of the continued aggression and blockade, which could result in further civilian casualties, particularly among women and children, as well as the destruction of property, civilian facilities, and infrastructure, further deepening the humanitarian crisis endured by the Yemeni people.

The organization calls on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take serious and urgent action to halt the Saudi aggression and lift the blockade, ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects, and launch independent and transparent investigations into all violations and crimes committed against the Yemeni people.

Entesaf Organization also renews its call for accountability for those responsible for grave violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, ensuring that perpetrators of these crimes do not enjoy impunity, and providing redress to victims and reparations for the harm inflicted upon them.
