Statement of Condemnation Regarding the Continued Grave Crimes and Violations Against Civilians in the Gaza Strip
The Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights condemns in the strongest terms the continued grave crimes and violations committed against civilians in the Gaza Strip, which, according to published reports, have resulted in the deaths of more than a thousand Palestinians since the ceasefire was declared. This constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, which guarantee the protection of civilians, particularly women and children.
The organization affirms that the continued targeting of civilians, residential areas, and civilian infrastructure, along with the accompanying increase in casualties and the worsening humanitarian catastrophe, represents a grave breach of international legal obligations and reflects a persistent failure to provide the necessary protection for the civilian population.
The organization also expresses its deep concern regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where children and women continue to bear the brunt of the effects of the bombardment, violence, displacement, and deprivation of basic services.
The Entisaf Organization calls upon the United Nations, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent and serious action to stop the violations, ensure the protection of civilians, hold those responsible for the crimes committed accountable, and guarantee the unhindered delivery of humanitarian and relief aid.
The organization reiterates that the continuation of these crimes, in light of the international community’s failure to take deterrent measures, contributes to deepening human suffering and fosters a climate of impunity. It demands immediate action to stop the bloodshed and protect the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.
